What's to be done in the park and nearby?

ACTIVITIES

Climbing - more than 200 lengths distributed on several sectors, for the beginners as for the confirmed (of 3 + in the 8a +).
Canyon -at 5 minutes from the park,  the canyon of Saint-Auban, one of the most visited sites in the region. Nearby within a few km the canyons of Mujouls, d'Aiglun, of Riolan and of high Jabron.
Mountain Biking - Several paths and different tracks of level and length from Terre des Lacs, with or without guide.
Course in the Trees -In the Park, 3 courses and 27 obstacles . A baby park of 5 obstacles without belt (from 2 to 6 years). A course of 14 various obstacles (bridge, deck of monkey bars, swing of Tarzan, stirrups, Tyrolean). A course Tyrolean above the lakes of 8 obstacles (maximum 120 meters). In 25 min. by car for the confirmed, the courses of  La Moulière or Castellane in Verdon Canyon.
Horseback Riding - All summer, from  June to September, horse rides, pony rides and in carriage for the smallest.
Trout Fishing - Traditional fishing or fly-fishing from March till November.
Hiking - Terre des Lacs is on the plan of the GR 510. Departure of several small paths and average hikes, full-day or a half-day.
Snowshoe Hiking - Departure from the park, but also the closest 2 ski resorts (Vauplane – 15 minutes by car or Gréolières les Neiges 20 minutes by car).
Off-Trail Skiing - Surrounding summits, at more than 1800 meters in height.
Skiing - Vauplane, Small ski resort, is situated about 15 minutes from the Gite (3 ski tows and 1 line tow). Others a little farther that you can take advantage of are family ski stations(resorts) Gréolières les Neiges and  l'Audibergue.
Paragliding - At approximately 30 min. from the park by car, 3 sites in the very renowned landscapes: Lachens, Saint André les Alpes and Gréolières.
Relaxing Area -Wooden play area (slide, small climbing wall, net, swings); picnic tables, petanque course, baby park...

DISCOVERY

Biological Reserve of Monts d’Azur - Visit the 700 hectares of the reserve in carriage and/or on foot among the herds of buffalo, prehistoric horses of Przewalski, moose, deers …
Parc Alpha - - visit the reserve of wolves
Visit of the ruins of the castle and the Oppidum du Tracastel with Les Géophiles
Visit the chevrerie de Soleilhas/Farm de la Gourette
Visit the sheep farm of Saint-Auban
Visit the farm of Thorenc/farm of Escaillon
